Double Victory for Maribor at the Prestigious Conventa Best Event Award

At the jubilee 10th edition of the international Conventa Crossover Festival in Ljubljana, two Maribor events won awards in their respective categories. In cooperation with the Municipality of Maribor and the Slovene National Theatre Maribor, the Maribor Tourist Board submitted two outstanding projects to the competition – Maribor City Day 2024 and Ballet Under the Stars 2024.

The Conventa Best Event Award is one of the most prestigious European competitions in the field of event organization. This year’s finals at Ljubljana Castle featured a record 55 projects from 16 countries. The international jury recognized the most creative, effective, and inspiring projects in the European event industry.

Maribor’s events received awards in the following categories:

  • Best in Community Building & Engagement: Ballet Under the Stars 2024 (Slovene National Theatre Maribor, Municipality of Maribor, Narodni dom Maribor, EZL EK Association, and Maribor Tourist Board)
  • Best Non-Profit Event: Maribor City Day 2024 (Municipality of Maribor, JHMB Group, and Maribor Tourist Board)

These achievements confirm the power of culture, community, and creativity in shaping Maribor’s identity as a city of unforgettable experiences.
