A city where the future is not reinvented, but grows from deep roots. This is precisely why the 5th Maribor Tourism Forum will take place at one of the city’s most symbolic locations — the Vinag Wine Cellar.

One of the largest historic wine cellars in Europe, hidden beneath the city centre, Vinag embodies Maribor as an urban wine destination — a place where wine is not a side story, but an integral part of everyday city life.

Named the Best Green Capital in Europe 2025 by the European Best Destinations platform, Maribor proves that wine culture and sustainability go hand in hand. This harmony is also symbolised by the World’s Oldest Grapevine — a living testament to more than 450 years of coexistence between people and nature, standing in the heart of the city as a symbol of respect for place, time, and tradition.

The event will take place in the heart of the city at the Vinag Wine Cellar. Take advantage of the central location and arrive on foot, by bike using Mbajk, or by city bus.

Drinking water will be available at the venue in glass bottles. Less plastic means greater respect for the space in which we are guests.

Waste separation is part of the event’s culture — just like respect for wine and the place where it is created.

All materials will be available in digital format. Less paper, more content.

Catering will be based on local ingredients and responsible food practices. What is produced with care is also consumed with respect.

Energy-efficient equipment will be used, and lights and projectors will be switched on only when truly necessary. You can contribute as well — by turning off devices when not in use.
