The Hidden Garden of the Obrat Gallery on the right bank of the Drava is a true urban oasis, offering an intimate and somewhat mysterious atmosphere that serves as a unique setting for open-air film nights under the stars. In this magical venue, StopTrik – one of the few international festivals in the world dedicated exclusively to the stop-motion animation technique – presents its selection of short animated films. This innovative and artistically demanding technique gains a special charm in this setting, as viewers experience art in a space that tells a story of its own.

In addition to animation, the garden also hosts documentary film evenings – with a selection of thought-provoking and socially engaged films, the Maribor-based festival Dokudoc showcases its contribution to shaping the documentary landscape in Slovenia. The Hidden Garden thus becomes a space for cinematic reflection, creativity, and contemplation, where art, nature, and social relevance intertwine.
