Generator is a top-tier multi-genre musical orchestra from Novo Mesto and the UK, founded in 2016 by vocalist Anina Trobec and keyboardist Joseph Wheba. They were joined by several veterans from the Novo Mesto rock scene – and not just anyone, but members of renowned bands such as Dan D, Drevored, and Moveknowledgement.

Together, they created a modern sound that blends elements of jazz, funk, reggae, and fusion, occasionally spiced up with a pinch of punk.

Their debut album Open Eyes (2018) is an intense and emotionally charged eclectic fusion of various musical styles and approaches. The album unveiled the eccentric mix of the individual members’ characters and their diverse musical paths, while also exploring themes of identity and unconditional love. They are currently working on new material for their upcoming album, set to be released this year.

The powerful charisma and stage presence of vocalist Anina perfectly complement the mysterious lyrical expression and bittersweet melodicism of the music, creating a striking contrast to the predominantly masculine energy of the band.
