Exhibition Laura Sperl LOW TIDE

Exhibition opening

LOW TIDE, the latest project by Austrian artist Laura Sperl, focuses on the coastline as a liminal space between sea and land, between the known and the unknown. This transitional landscape becomes a starting point for reflecting on the process of image-making and the representation of the invisible. In a series of new works—including chemigrams, cyanotypes, video, and spatial installation—the artist questions the boundaries of the photographic medium and opens a field of unpredictable transformations in which the invisible becomes visible. Through analog techniques and the incorporation of natural elements—such as seawater, sunlight, and driftwood—she develops a photographic language that resists control and embraces unpredictability.
