In the magical setting of Žička Kartuzija Monastery, we invite you to the premiere wine & culinary event Chartreuse & Wine on 14 June 2025, from 12:00 to 18:00! Celebrating the 860th anniversary of the Carthusians’ arrival, the event blends historical heritage with three noble wine varieties – Blaufränkisch, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay. Renowned winemakers from the Rogla–Pohorje destination will present their wines, while culinary delights will be prepared by Gastuž, 1467 – the oldest still-operating inn in Slovenia. The event takes place in the small cloister of Žička Kartuzija. Tastings will follow a token-based system; entry is possible by purchasing a tasting package (€19), which includes a souvenir glass, pouch, one food token, and one wine token. Visitors can also enjoy guided tours, a presentation of the church renovation, and sparkling wine tastings in the Otakar Cellar. Taste silence, wine, and tradition in a contemporary experience!
