Domen Kodrič is from Maribor, a historian, a lover of Viking history, and a prominent member of the Maistrov Marpurgov tribe, where, as Thor’s beloved, he carries out the tasks of a warrior, chainmail maker, skald, and poet.

In the year of Our Lord 2025, he published his debut historical fantasy novel The Southern Viking with Pivec Publishing. The novel intertwines historical reality and Scandinavian mythology in a fantastic saga, where, alongside Bjorn Ironback, we confront human and supernatural foes, and play with the thought: what if the Vikings didn’t stop at southern Italy? What if the northern Adriatic called them; what if the three-headed mountain lured them into its embrace?

The story will delve into the Vikings and their gods, plundering and battles, passionate love affairs, terrifying monsters, and much more. Domen will also treat you to a very special, unique skaldic delicacy.
