Drugi OBRAT na StopTrik
The International StopTrik Film Festival, produced by Pekarna Magdalenske mreže, invites you to a curated selection of animations from last year’s edition. The films will be screened at the pop-up cinema in the garden next to OBRAT – a space for art and participation, located at Trg revolucije 9.
This green nook, just by the main bridge, transforms once again into an open-air cinema during the Lent Festival. With our improvised cinema, we’re once again giving space back to cinema – to the cinema that the city is missing.
This program presents some of the finest stop motion and experimental animations from the previous StopTrik edition. Among others, you’ll see the touching and witty animation Madeleine, the audience favourite and winner of the StopTrik Grand Prix 2023.
Over the years, StopTrik has become known as the first European festival dedicated to the art of stop motion animation. But it is also a community-oriented event, bringing together lovers of experimental audiovisual art and cinema who are interested in critical reflection on the meanings and roles of contemporary artistic expression.
