Vlado Novak, one of Slovenia’s most acclaimed stage actors, stars in this solo performance as Jožek – a clumsy, naive, yet kind-hearted homeless man from Maribor who lives in a cardboard box in front of a grocery store. Through his story, the audience is taken into the world of the streets, filled with humor, warmth, and moving life truths.

The play reveals how even a smart and hardworking man can, through a twist of fate – even by winning the lottery – end up on the margins of society. All Jožek has left is kindness, which he uses to uphold his dignity and humanity. He is not the king of the street – he is its guardian and the voice of the overlooked.
