The visiting temporary exhibition Objects of Joy from the Pomurje Museum Murska Sobota is on view at the Kino Partizan exhibition space of the Maribor Regional Museum. The exhibition Objects of Joy explores in a pleasant and playful way how joy intertwines with everyday objects. On display are items from the archaeological, historical, art-historical, and ethnological collections of the Pomurje Museum Murska Sobota — from a bride’s shadow box, porcelain figurines, and a medieval pot to historical banknotes. The display at Kino Partizan is complemented by select objects from the Maribor Regional Museum collections. Although the objects may appear to have almost nothing in common at first glance, they are connected by the relationship people had with them — and often, that relationship was joy. An added value of the exhibition is the section presenting contemporary personal objects contributed by visitors. Their individual testimonies give the exhibition a sincere, personal tone.
