A band? When you can boast at least a dozen near-legendary hits, sold-out Stožice Arena shows, and the fact that more than half a million Slovenians have come to see you live—well, we can’t just call it a band, can we? If it didn’t sound so pretentious, we’d probably write “institution,” but the guys from Rogatec aren’t that sort of band, so let’s stick with “band” for lack of a better word.

Add over three decades of creative and live experience, plus hits like Črtica, Sladka kot med, Samo tebe te imam, Čakal sn te ko kreten, Pa si šla, Oda gudeki, Pojdi z menoj v toplice, Zbudi me za 1. maj, Moja teta Estera, Štajersko nebo, and of course Čista jeba, and you get the essence of Mi2. You, the audience, add your own stories—and those are countless, far beyond the numbers above. They’re the reason the songs and music created by the guys from Rogatec are far more than a few minutes of fun.

They’re portals to other worlds, moments in time where you can breathe, feel, and live fully. Pieces that, like mosaic stones, anchor themselves forever in the fresh terrain of your emotions and form what we call life. And it doesn’t matter if your mosaic starts with Črtica or if Čista jeba is your first piece. That’s part of the Mi2 phenomenon: under their stage, generational labels—X, Millennials, Z, Alpha—don’t matter. We’re all Generation Mi2.
