EXHIBITION ON THE 61-YEAR HISTORY OF DIALOGI

After 61 years, Dialogi has become part of history, leaving behind a rich treasury of reflections, testimonies, and insights into Slovenian culture, with a special focus on Maribor.
In the Art Exhibition Space, the history of the journal will be presented through editorial periods and concepts from 1965 to 2025. Several individuals connected to Dialogi will also be highlighted, such as the legendary editor of the Obzorja Publishing House, Jože Košar, the overlooked public intellectual of an earlier period, Marijan Kramberger, the painter Zmago Jeraj, and the editorial publication Sated and Hungry Slovenians (1969), which was a bold act for its time and remains relevant today. The ten-member editorial team of the final period will also be presented, along with their achievements, experiences, and insights. In the Book Exhibition Space, visitors will be able to view posters featuring quotes from selected thematic sections characteristic of Dialogi. The exhibition’s authors, Meta Kordiš and Emica Antončič, selected four themes: The City’s Relationship to Culture, Written for Maribor, Women, and Patriotism, Nationalism, Violence.
