Britain Is Looking for a Balkan Groom
If you ask him, London—with all its gin, whisky, and beer—can’t hold a candle to rakija. The throat and heart of Fahro, a refugee with twenty years of life on the Island, are warmed by his passionate love for the traditional Balkan spirit. Rakija is what makes life in the “rotten West” bearable for him.
So he’s made up his mind: he must find a groom for his London-born daughter—one who will appreciate her at least as much as he does. Because what’s the point of a son-in-law if you can’t share a glass of rakija and enjoy a proper man-to-man bonding?
The plan: a British wedding with a Balkan groom. A combination that promises… top-class comedy!
