On International Museum Day, we invite you to a free tour of the Gril Ethnological Collection, housed in Rače Castle. On this occasion, you’ll be able to explore the rich history and cultural heritage, view a unique ethnological collection, and learn interesting stories from the past that even the youngest visitors will enjoy hearing.
Rače Castle is one of the rare examples of a lowland or water castle, and it is also home to the Gril Ethnological Collection, the largest private ethnological collection in northeastern Slovenia, which, with its 4,500 exhibits, is truly worth a visit.
With numerous exhibits from Slovenia and abroad, the ethnological collection is a true treasure trove of knowledge and information about life in the past.
