From the very title of the performance, we can discern several meanings that reveal the theme of the performance – hardships: “hardship” is a show of support and approval (e.g. a handshake or a hug); with the word “contact” we emphasize the importance of both psychological and physical contact between young people; “hardship” is unfortunately a big part of growing up. Through the dancers’ confessions, they became the ideological motif of the creation. Starting point: Young people often face problems that they cannot cope with on their own. We live in a world where youth violence, extortion and bullying are still very much present and can leave long-lasting consequences. In their search for help or acceptance, young people often encounter misunderstanding, which is why many remain silent and resort to digital worlds, which further distance them from themselves and their environment.

  • When you accept – are you accepted?
  • When you include – are you truly included?
  • Do you dare to stand out or do you prefer to remain unnoticed?

Dancers seek answers through movement, personal confessions, and the creative process.

"That I'm so scared of the sculpture presentation, even though everything's fine afterwards. And every f**king unfinished project that's sitting in the closet. But I don't regret the tears. Not the sun. Not the laughter. Not the rain. Not the storms. But the winter that turns into spring, and touches the unspoken words. And this ending — I mean, yeah, well. The ending."
The play explores dreams as a space of love, memory, and longing — a place where the past, the present, and that which never had the chance to become real meet.
