Seydou Yoni Kouyaté is a multi-instrumentalist from Côte d’Ivoire, playing the kora (a 22-string instrument), keyboards, percussion, balafon, and other instruments. With his distinctive musical style on kora and keyboards, he moves effortlessly between centuries-old musical traditions and modern urban African music.

Since 2022, he has been a member of the ensemble of the legendary Salif Keita, and a successful solo career is also clearly on the horizon for Seydou.

On stage, he will be joined by outstanding Slovenian guitarist Igor Bezget, one of the most versatile Slovenian musicians, fluent in virtually all major global music genres; cellist Ariel Vei Atanasovski, already well known in Maribor despite his young age; and percussionist Tina Sovič. Together they perform under the name Family Band.
