II. Gymnasium Maribor presents two musical groups.

The first is the band Noisea, featuring Brina Jesenik (vocals), Blaž Jesenik (bass guitar), Anže Potočnik (guitar), Martin Vinko Stanonik (drums), and Maj Matjašič (guitar), the latter two coming from the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Maribor.

The group mainly performs rock’n’roll and hard rock classics, as well as songs by artists such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Queen, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, and AC/DC. In the future, they also wish to explore creating original music.

The second group is made up of selected members of the Drug’ Orchestra of II. Gymnasium Maribor, presenting their first concert dedicated exclusively to funk and disco music.

Three singers, a violinist, a brass section, and a rhythm section will take the audience on a musical journey from disco and funk classics by ABBA, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Michael Jackson to contemporary Slovenian and international songs inspired by the same musical style, including works by Magnifico, Bruno Mars, and Daft Punk.

If you feel tempted by a return to the sparkling rhythms of the seventies, this concert is definitely not to be missed!
