A live jazz-soul performance through dance, puppetry, and movement explores how the flow of media information shapes our lives, taking five characters through the emotional chaos of news toward rebellion and liberation from the “media machine.”

Set to live jazz-soul music, the performance explores through sign dance and contemporary puppetry how daily news and fragments that we collect, discard, and/or carry with us shape and distort our lives and our shared social landscape.

We follow five characters as they struggle through the emotional noise of constant information and physically confront an endless flood of headlines, being swallowed by enormous newspaper puppets. Yet the human protagonists do not give in; instead, they successfully resist and rise above the media machine.

The performance is visually and sonically vibrant, blending languages, gestures, and themes into a seamless atmospheric whole, leaving the audience to think, feel, and question the stories that surround us.

Duration: 35 minutes
