They
A street performance from Skopje where living statues use minimal movement and audience interaction to deliver a social commentary through symbolic “addressing,” coming to life only through your attention.
They come from Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, where they also draw inspiration for their artistic actions, which serve as an interpretation of a societal cry that has forgotten itself.
Through their frozen state, they express a protest for a forgotten, petrified audience. They stand motionless like statues and only move if you “address” them — or encourage them to do so — with money.
Their participation at the festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of North Macedonia.
