Veteran klub Maribor will take us on a short journey through history — back to a time when every automobile had its own character and elegance. Visitors will be able to admire carefully preserved examples of timeless design, listen to fascinating stories, and discover why preserving technical heritage is so important. Perhaps we may even find inspiration there for preserving the best parts of our own history.

Founded in 1986, Veteran klub Maribor will present its meticulously preserved vehicles, which are far more than just means of transport — they are stories on wheels. Every vehicle carries its own tale: of craftsmanship, of a different pace of life, and of an era when every bolt mattered.

Veteran klub Maribor is the oldest active club of vintage motor vehicle enthusiasts in the region and brings together collectors and owners of classic vehicles from Maribor and beyond. The club is a member of the Slovenian Federation of Vintage Vehicle Associations (SVS) and operates in accordance with the international guidelines of Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA). Through these connections, the club actively contributes to the development and promotion of vintage motoring culture both nationally and internationally.

Their mission is to preserve the technical and cultural heritage of motoring while encouraging interest in historic vehicles. Activities include collecting, restoring, and maintaining vintage vehicles, organizing expert gatherings, educational programs, and public events. Among the best-known are:

  • “SKOK” – vintage coffee meetups in Koblarjev zaliv
  • The national gathering of vintage vehicles
  • The “Štajerska” vintage vehicle rally

In 2026, the club celebrates 40 years of continuous activity, confirming its important role in preserving technical and cultural heritage.

You are also warmly invited to the now traditional vintage vehicle rally “Štajerska 2026”, taking place on 22 August 2026. The event offers an excellent opportunity for enthusiasts to meet, admire remarkable vehicles, and enjoy a pleasant social atmosphere.
