Vox Lyrae Quartet
Vox Lyrae Quartet blends jazz, pop, and rock into soft, reimagined vocal soundscapes.
You are invited to an evening of polyphonic singing, where well-known melodies are reborn in fresh and original sonic forms.
Vox Lyrae Quartet is a group of four vocalists united not only by diverse musical backgrounds, but above all by a shared love of music-making. Their repertoire spans jazz, pop, and rock, with both older and contemporary songs reinterpreted through original arrangements and a strong sensitivity for vocal harmony.
Their distinctive signature lies in subtle musical “spices” that give even the most familiar songs a new dimension. They occasionally enrich their performances with instruments such as violin, guitar, and piano, creating a varied and dynamic concert experience.
The quartet consists of Andrej Vilčnik (bass), David Mlakar (tenor), Meta Podlesnik Marčič (alto), and Romana Jošt (soprano), who are also connected through their work in the chamber choir Hugo Wolf.
