House night

Magnetic Shift at Klub KGB combines house music, immersive visuals, and an atmosphere that transforms the space into an entirely new dimension.

Magnetic Shift is not just music — it is a magnetic transformation of space.

For the second consecutive year as part of the Festival Lent, the collective Magnetic Shift presents a two-day music program dedicated to exploring the evolving spectrums of contemporary electronic production. After years of shaping Maribor’s alternative scene, a successful debut at the festival, and recent innovative projects under the HRUP series, the collective returns with two genre-focused evenings.

The first night, Friday, 26 June, is dedicated to house music. The evening’s headliner will be Akaj from Ptuj, co-founder of the influential label Origin Records and a key member of the Rite of Passage collective. Akaj is regarded as one of the most articulate selectors on the Slovenian electronic scene and one of the country’s most promising DJs. His sets blend house influences with contemporary minimalist approaches, creating a sound experience that feels both nostalgic and futuristic.

This year’s edition also brings an important novelty — the event moves into the intimate and historically rich setting of Klub KGB (Kulturno-glasbeni brlog) at Vojašniški trg. This legendary Maribor venue will become the stage for two sonically distinct yet energetically connected nights.

Magnetic Shift goes beyond a regular music event; it is a transformation of space itself. Through custom visual installations, lighting design, and scenography, Klub KGB will be turned into a completely new audiovisual dimension for two nights.

Line-up

  • 22:00 — MaNa
  • 23:30 — Sedikit
  • 01:00 — Akaj
  • 03:00–05:00 — Nebelung • Spajser

MaNa

At the crossroads of sun-soaked afrobeat rhythms, Balearic sounds, and house music, MaNa joins the Rolada collective as its newest visionary. She creates refined atmospheres balancing deep rhythmic pulses with effortless flow. Her sets are playful yet carefully curated, paying homage to disco heritage while exploring contemporary grooves. Expect a performance that is both technically sophisticated and irresistibly energetic.

Sedikit

Sedikit plays music from around the world — some tracks are energetic and funky, others deep and powerful, while some may even bring tears to your eyes. Constantly searching for emotional melodies intertwined with hypnotic rhythms, his mission is to transport listeners into a space they won’t want to leave. As a musically educated artist, event organizer, DJ, and selector, Sedikit has been active on the Slovenian scene for more than a decade.

Akaj

Akaj, a DJ and producer from Ptuj, is considered one of the rising names of Slovenia’s electronic music scene. Dedicated to discovering unique and overlooked records, he continuously sharpens his technical skills both in the studio and on the dance floor.

Nebelung

A mysterious figure traveling between the Middle East and Europe. Practitioner of black magic and pilates.

Spajser

At events like these, Spajser transforms from listener into selector. Ideally, he would always play warm and gentle music, much like himself — but surrounded by friends pushing him deeper into the night, those qualities may fade and reveal a darker side. Or a faster one. Or simply a different one. Perhaps it’s best not to take this description too seriously.
