This exhibition explores books that established new horizons, changed the perception of the world, and, through their aesthetic, ethical, emotional, and intellectual points of departure, triggered social and cultural change. As such, they became deeply rooted in people’s consciousness and demonstrated “how effective, powerful, and courageous literature can be,” as the coordinator of the Slovenian Book Days in Maribor wrote about them as the central theme of this year’s festival. The exhibition was created by Nino Flisar and Nika Štumberger. The design was created by Rafael Kurnik.
