PPP / Pasolini and football
A photographic exhibition and rarely accessible visual project about one of the key European artists of the 20th century and his hidden love for football, relates to Pasolini's understanding of football as "the last sacred representation of modernity".
For the Maribor edition of the exhibition, Rene Puhar and Miha Horvat drew on the collection curated by Piero Colussi for Cinemazero in Pordenone and selected 34 photographic works.
The project organically fits into the local space of “the most football-loving city in Slovenia” and allows for reflection on football as a cultural phenomenon and artistic inspiration, in which issues of belonging, migration, equality, gender, and social imagination are intertwined.
The authors of the photographs that will be exhibited are: Gideon Bachmann, Deborah Beer, Piero Colussi, Aldo Durazzi, Paolo Ferrari, Federico Garolla, Vittorio La Verde, Umberto Pizzi, Roberto Segatori, Massimo Stefanetti, and Franco Zuliani.
