The Ljudski Vrt soccer stadium will host a historic European matchup. As this year’s Slovenian Cup champion, NK Aluminij will begin its European campaign in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers, and the second leg of the first qualifying round against Moldova’s FC Sheriff Tiraspol will be played in Maribor.

European soccer is thus returning to Ljudski Vrt, where the Šumarji will aim to advance to the next round of the competition on July 16. The first match will take place a week earlier, on July 9, in Tiraspol, Moldova.
