In summer, Maribor transforms into a creative oasis, where children and young people awaken their imagination and creativity in the embrace of nature at the Summer Art Kamp.

From 5 July to 31 August 2025, every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00, we invite you to the former swimming pool site, above the playground in Maribor City Park, for puppet shows, theatre, music and dance performances for children, creative workshops, and various movement-, play- and reading-based activities.

On Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 18:00, the stage will feature children’s theatre, puppet, music, and storytelling performances. Every Saturday at 10:30, it’s story time! In the second half of August, we traditionally host the Summer Puppet Pier Festival on the stage.

Each weekend, between 10:00–13:00 and 16:00–19:00, the park will come alive with creative workshops alongside ongoing sports, play and relaxation activities. Children will create with recycled and natural materials. The workshops will also feature presentations by institutions, artists, artisans, craftspeople and organisations, showcasing traditional crafts, local cultural heritage, visual arts and diverse art techniques. There will also be technical creativity workshops.

All Summer Art Kamp events take place in Maribor City Park. Admission is free.
