The Seagulls Fly Early is a dance-anthropological performance by Bojana Robinson (SRB/SI) and Gyula Cserepes (SRB/HU) exploring cultural identity, belonging and the sense of home through migration.

Both artists grew up in the former Yugoslavia and now live in different European countries, sharing common roots. The work asks how traditions and changing environments shape identity. Movement is based on a simple triple step and motifs from Balkan and Carpathian folk dances, which are constantly transformed.

The creators combine personal experience with anthropological research based on conversations with national minorities. The research continues in each new place, connecting the performance to local contexts while crossing borders. It is a dance of transition, rooting and searching for cultural history.
