These moor lands are also called the hanging moor
Such peat moors with small lakes are one of the most inviting natural sites of Pohorje! Near Lake Ribniško Jezero, there are also six smaller marshy lakes. All are approximately one metre deep and they have peat at the bottom. Because the moor is located at an inclined hillside, it is also called the hanging moor.
