On 19 and 20 May 2026, partners of the European GreenHost project met in Maribor. Hosted by the Maribor Tourist Board and the Secondary School for Hospitality and Tourism Maribor, the two-day meeting brought together representatives from tourism, education and industry across Europe.
The project partners reviewed progress, shared good practices and coordinated upcoming activities. Discussions focused on developing green and digital skills, sustainable hospitality management and solutions for more environmentally responsible tourism.
As a project partner, the Maribor Tourist Board contributes its expertise in destination management and sustainable tourism development. It helps connect the project’s European activities with the local tourism sector and supports the development of tools for more responsible practices in tourism and hospitality.
The meeting in Maribor gave partners an opportunity to strengthen their cooperation and plan the project’s next steps. This international exchange of knowledge also supports Maribor’s development as a green and responsible tourism destination.
