The Contemporary Dance Platform Festival is returning to Maribor, and once again this year the city will be transformed into a space for movement, art and socialising. Over the course of the festival, local and international artists, representing diverse dance styles and generations, will come together at various venues (the Maribor Puppet Theatre, the Court Tower, the Main Square, the city centre, and more).

Through a rich festival programme, we seek ways to use the body to speak about the world in which we live.

The varied programme weaves together dance performances, music-dance-literary performances, a major dance event featuring dancers from across the country, a movement walk through the city, and more.

For two decades now, Platforma has been creating a space for art that goes beyond the stage. We bring dance closer to the city and its people; through our rich programme, we weave art into the fabric of the entire city and connect artists with the audience.
