MARIBOR CITY DAY 2026: By Bus to Limbuš and Meranovo – From St James to Archduke John
As part of the events celebrating Maribor City Day, the University of Maribor Library invites you to a guided excursion to Limbuš and Meranovo.
We will explore Limbuš’s rich history, discover the Baroque beauty of St James’s Church and visit Meranovo, the birthplace of Styrian winemaking. Along the way, we will also hear the legend of Limbuš Castle and its hard-hearted noblewoman, as well as discover other fascinating features of this area between the Pohorje Hills and the Drava River. The meeting point is Maribor Bus Station on Mlinska Street. Places are limited (23 participants). Advance registration is required by email at knjiznica.ukm@um.si. We look forward to your visit!
