Discover the secrets of herbs at a herbal workshop in Žička Kartuzija! Take a stroll through the Zajcklošter herb garden, taste herbal teas and spreads, and learn about the distillation process and the production of hydrosols and essential oils.
You are warmly invited to a herbal workshop at Žička Kartuzija on Sunday, 18 October, from 9:00 to 12:00.
Discover the fragrant world of herbs, explore their many uses, and learn how Carthusian monks traditionally used them.
The workshop includes:
A walk through the Zajcklošter monastery herb garden,
An introduction to medicinal herbs and their aromas,
A tasting of herbal spreads and tea,
A demonstration of the distillation process, which produces hydrosols and essential oils.
Led by: Majnika Herb Garden and Farm and Alenka Zapušek from Vrhivšek Farm.
Price: €40 per person. The price includes the workshop programme, tastings, admission to Žička Kartuzija and an audio-guided tour. Each participant will also receive a lemon balm or mint hydrosol.
