St Martin’s Day in Maribor is a celebration of wine, cuisine and the rich winemaking heritage of Slovenian Styria, symbolically marking the transformation of grape must into wine. The city centre comes alive with music, folk performances, wine tastings and a varied cultural and entertainment programme, bringing together locals and visitors from Slovenia and abroad. Tourism associations in the surrounding area also join the celebrations, preserving local customs and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
