Leber - Vračko Family Farm in Jedlovnik near Zgornja Kungota combines more than two centuries of farming heritage with contemporary winemaking. The estate has been in the family since 1795 and is now home to four generations. Its vineyards lie in the Styrian wine region, with a focus on white grape varieties.
Hand harvesting and careful grape selection are central to its winemaking. Fresh wines mature in stainless steel tanks, while selected wines from particular sites and vintages age in oak barrels or amphorae. Katja and Gregor Leber Vračko continue the family wine story at nearby Opok27, pairing estate-produced wines with a regularly changing food menu.
The Opok27 restaurant overlooks the vineyards and family farm, and guided wine tastings are available by prior arrangement. Alongside viticulture, the farm is involved in dairy farming and makes natural drinking straws from triticale, a cross between wheat and rye. Wine, agriculture, food and practical uses for natural materials all form part of the family's work.
