A family cellar near Piramida hill offering Styrian wines, guided tastings and homemade food.

In Počehova, on the wine-growing hills above Maribor near Piramida Hill, Vinogradi Horvat is a family winery with roots in the Haloze wine region. Earlier generations tended vineyards there before the family acquired its Počehova estate in 1960. Today, the winery combines inherited knowledge with contemporary methods of grape growing and winemaking.

The cellar produces a varied selection of Styrian wines, including Riesling, Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc and Yellow Muscat. Its red blend combines Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt. Wines can be accompanied by traditional homemade food, such as pork preserved in lard, cured meats, savoury spreads, potica and apple or cottage-cheese strudel.

Guided wine tastings and cellar tours introduce the family's story and the winemaking traditions of the Maribor area. The estate also hosts family and business gatherings with food by arrangement. Visits require advance booking, making the winery a possible stop when exploring Piramida Hill and the vineyards just outside the city.
