In Malna near Jurovski Dol, among the hills of Slovenske gorice, Žugman Farm specialises in traditional homemade bread and pastries. Aleksandra Žugman continues the baking skills passed down by her mother, Anica, while the family's farming history spans at least four generations. Livestock farming remains an important part of the estate, connecting its baked goods with everyday life on a working farm.
The signature speciality is janeževi upognjenci, traditional anise biscuits, which have received numerous gold awards and quality distinctions at the Specialities of Slovenian Farms competition. Other products include walnut, coconut and layered potica, croissants, sponge cake slices and homemade biscuits. The family also bakes white, mixed, rye and fruit breads, including bread from a traditional wood-fired oven.
Bread and pastries are made to order throughout the year, with products available directly from the farm and through local sales channels. The farm preserves traditional baking methods and the sweet culinary heritage of Slovenske gorice.
