On Špičnik near Svečina, just below the famous heart-shaped road winding through the vineyards, Gaube Winery continues a family winemaking tradition spanning generations. The family resumed bottling its own wines in 1992. Today, Alojzij and Klavdija Gaube run the estate, where a new cellar and tasting facilities opened in 2009.
The winery is known for fresh, fruit-forward Styrian wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Silvaner, Chardonnay and Yellow Muscat. The range also features traditional-method sparkling wines, Pinot Noir and fuller, aged wines from the Kaspar and Emanuel collections. Its Sauvignon received gold medals at AWC Vienna and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in 2026.
Wine is closely linked to the estate's dining experience, with three-, four- and five-course menus, wine pairings, cold-cut platters and desserts. Tastings for groups of up to 24 people can be arranged in advance. The estate combines family winemaking, food and views across the vineyards of Svečina.
