Sparkling and dessert wines, homemade jams and tastings in a 150-year-old cellar.

In Ročica near Jakobski Dol, among the vineyards of Slovenske gorice, Mulec Winery continues a family winemaking tradition spanning more than a century. Its grapes grow on the slopes of Ročica and Spodnje Hlapje and are harvested by hand. At the centre of the estate is a wine cellar around 150 years old, where speciality wines also mature.

The selection includes Riesling, Welschriesling, Müller-Thurgau, Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, alongside other varieties. The family also makes traditional-method sparkling wines, ice wines and dried berry selections. Its 2023 Muscat Ottonel carries the regional Naše najboljše (Our Finest) certificate. Other farm products include homemade fruit jams, juices, freeze-dried fruit and venison charcuterie.

Guided cellar tastings are available by prior arrangement. Visitors can also see a nearby enclosure with fallow deer. The farm offers apartments, campervan parking and electric-bike hire, making it possible to combine wine tasting with a longer stay in the countryside north of Maribor.
