Hiša Elšnik Excursion Farm

In Slatina near Svečina, among vineyards close to the Austrian border, Hiša Elšnik Excursion Farm serves regional wines and traditional farmhouse food. The flower-decorated property has a summer terrace and lies near the Kebl Winegrowing Museum and the Border Panorama Route, connecting a food stop with Svečina's wine-growing landscape.

The farm offers its own bottled and house wines, including tastings. Food includes cold-cut platters, pork preserved in tünka, cured salami, cheese, lard spread and homemade bread. Seasonal vegetables, eggs, gibanica pastry, štruklji and homemade cakes complete the selection. Other cooked dishes can be arranged in advance.

In warmer months, guests can sit on the outdoor terrace, while two indoor rooms accommodate private groups. The farm is also close to the village church and cross-border vineyard trails. Advance booking is recommended for groups and meals prepared to order, making it easier to combine a tasting with an excursion through the surrounding hills.
