On Vojašniška Street in Maribor's historic Lent district, close to the Drava River and the World's Oldest Grapevine, Piranha Cocktail Bureau has a history dating back to 1989. Renovated in 2018, it developed into a cocktail-focused bar while retaining the character of a daytime café. Evenings bring a different atmosphere centred on mixed drinks and social gatherings.
The bar offers more than 400 spirits and over 90 cocktails, ranging from established classics to contemporary interpretations. Bartenders explore recipes from different periods of cocktail history. The selection includes Caipirinha, Bramble, Pineapple Daiquiri, Italicus Spritz and Rum Old Fashioned, alongside a broad range of gin, rum, whisky, tequila and cognac.
Beyond cocktails, Piranha also serves coffee, tea and light snacks. The bar hosts themed events and spirits masterclasses, sometimes followed by music and DJ sets. Its location on Lent connects the cocktail experience with Maribor's riverside nightlife, while the daytime offering suits a coffee break in the old town.
