In the Zagata area of Maribor, Cats Cafe offers visitors the chance to spend time with cats over a cup of coffee or tea. The café is run by the Društvo ljubiteljev mačjih tačk, an association dedicated to animal welfare, responsible cat ownership and helping cats in need of a home.
The main attraction is spending time with the resident cats while respecting their individual needs and routines. Visitors can also learn more about feline behaviour and responsible care. The drinks selection includes Julius Meinl coffee, Herbessa herbal teas, homemade juices and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks. Homemade desserts are also offered.
Visits take place in one-hour sessions that must be booked in advance, helping create a calm and organised setting for both cats and guests. Admission includes selected drinks and seasonal fruit. The association also organises gatherings and events for cat lovers. Cats Cafe combines an unusual café experience with a focus on the wellbeing of animals.
