Coffee, freshly baked croissants, bread and pastries made with naturally fermented sourdough.

On Šolska Street in Maribor's Pobrežje district, Caffe Bianco & EZL combines a family-run café with a sourdough bakery. The café has been open since 1992, while the EZL bakery was added in 2021. Baker Nina Vidic developed her interest in sourdough with her husband, bringing a new baking concept to the long-established neighbourhood café.

Every EZL product is leavened exclusively with sourdough starter, with dough fermented for 24 to 72 hours. Ingredients are mainly locally sourced. The selection includes different breads, baguettes, croissants, cruffins, filled bomboloni and other sweet and savoury baked goods. Seasonal creations feature ingredients such as pistachios, chocolate and fruit fillings.

Alongside coffee and seasonal drinks, the café also serves beer and snacks. The venue welcomes children, guests with disabilities and visitors with dogs. Its combination of café culture and an on-site bakery makes it a place to enjoy a drink and discover freshly made sourdough products.
