Maribor Graffiti forms part of the city's contemporary visual identity, from the centre to former industrial areas and underpasses. Murals, lettering and painted walls reflect different artistic styles, social messages and local creativity. Rather than occupying a single location, these works create an evolving outdoor gallery of street art across Maribor.
In 2020, Croatian artist Filip Mrvelj, known as 3D Filip, created a permanent 3D pavement painting near the Pekarna Cultural Centre. That same year, the underpass on Ljubljanska Street beside Magdalena Park became Ob štreki, an open-air exhibition area for murals and creative expression.
Organised projects continue to develop the city's street art scene. In May 2026, the Maribor Graffiti Festival brought together Slovenian and international artists to paint the underpass on Sokolska Street. The municipality also provides several designated legal graffiti walls. Together, these works connect contemporary art, youth culture and everyday urban spaces.
