Glaser Salon and Gallery occupies the historic parish house in Malečnik, east of Maribor. It opened to the public in 2021 following restoration of rooms within a building whose history reaches back to the Middle Ages. Named after Marko Glaser, a priest, poet and translator, the salon preserves the space he furnished and redesigned in the 19th century, including its inlaid parquet floor.
The permanent collection features more than 20 paintings from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, alongside historic furniture. Artists represented include Fortunat Bergant, Jožef Ernst Tunner and Franc Ksaver Nager. Portraits of former parish priests and religious scenes offer insight into the cultural and church history of Malečnik.
The gallery area hosts temporary exhibitions, while the restored salon also provides a venue for chamber concerts, lectures and cultural gatherings. Historic interiors and artworks connect the area's artistic heritage with its community life. Visits are available by prior arrangement.
