A passage between Koroška Street and Vojašniški Square recalls Minorite friars and Žiče monks.

Žički Passage is a historic lane in Maribor's old town, linking Koroška Street with Vojašniški Square in the Lent district. It was first recorded in 1346 as Brothers' Lane, named after the Minorite friars of the nearby monastery. The passage belongs to a network of routes that connected the town centre with the Drava riverfront for centuries.

Its present name comes from Žički Manor, a former town property of the Carthusian monks of Žiče Charterhouse, first mentioned in 1422. The manor acquired a largely Baroque appearance over time, while retaining traces of earlier buildings. The lane changed names repeatedly, reflecting nearby religious institutions, trades and the river port. It was named Žički prehod in 1938 and regained that name in 1945.

Today, the passage preserves a historic route between Koroška Street and Lent. The nearby Minorite monastery, cultural venues and remains of the city walls place it within one of Maribor's oldest quarters. This short walk connects medieval monastic history with the city's present-day streets.
