A riverside art bench dedicated to compassion, the passage of life and support through loss.

Trenutek (Moment) stands beside a footpath on the right bank of the Drava River in central Maribor, overlooking historic Lent. Created by sculptor and conservator Vlasta Čobal Sedmak, it is the fifteenth artwork in the Stories of Benches and People project. Made of metal and concrete, it was unveiled on 7 June 2019. Its riverside setting offers a place to pause and reflect.

The bench is dedicated to the Slovenian Hospice Society, which supports people approaching the end of life and those grieving the loss of loved ones. Its central themes are the passage of life, impermanence and compassion. The artist envisioned a place where people could pause, listen to one another and consider other people's experiences.

The location beside the Drava adds meaning to the artwork. The river's continual flow evokes change and the passing of time, while the view towards Lent connects the bench with the city's history. Moment forms part of Maribor's collection of art benches, combining sculpture, personal stories and social awareness.
