The Old Vine House on Maribor’s Lent hosts tastings of wines from local producers. Guests choose three or five samples of fresh or matured wines, on their own or paired with local bites. The wine shop brings together more than 200 wine labels from over 50 winemakers. Artworks and a 35-metre mosaic depicting Maribor and the Drava complement the tasting room.
Working hours
Monday–Saturday: 10:00–18:00.
Sunday: 10:00–16:00.
The tasting time and selected package are agreed with the provider. Groups must order snacks at least 10 days before the tasting, except ocvirkovka and bread with pumpkin seed oil and salt. Public holiday opening hours must be checked when booking.

Wine tasting on Lent
Tastings take place at the Old Vine House, also presented today as the Oldest Vine, beside the celebrated grapevine on Lent. A guided tasting introduces wines from local producers and the differences between fresh and matured wines.
Visitors choose a BASIC, SILVER or GOLD package with three or five samples. BASIC features fresh wines, SILVER combines fresh and matured wines, and GOLD features matured wines. Packages paired with local bites are also available.
The setting and additional options
A long tasting table is complemented by smaller spaces for individual visitors and small groups. Artworks and a mosaic connect the wine offering with the history of Maribor and the Drava.
The offer also mentions house-made macarons and distinctive wines such as Oceanus sparkling wine, matured on the seabed in Piran Bay, and Dolium orange wine, matured underground. These wines and macarons are not listed as standard components of every tasting package; availability must be checked with the provider.
A separate tasting features vermouth, grape marc spirit and XO brandy. Additional food options include bread with pumpkin seed oil and salt, a cheese platter, ocvirkovka savoury pork crackling bread and a cold meat platter.
Booking conditions
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start incur a charge of 25% of the order value. The provider reserves the right to change prices and the offer.
