Guided cycling experiences follow Pohorje’s varied trails, with climbs, descents and views of forests and surrounding hills. Described routes include Ruška koča on Areh and the Skalca waterfall. Options are available with or without bicycle rental and transport on the Pohorska vzpenjača gondola.
Working hours
Available daily during the outdoor season by prior arrangement, at least one day before the tour. Tours do not operate in adverse weather, including rain, snow, strong winds or thunderstorms.

The experience
The cycling routes pass through forests, alongside meadows and past mountain huts. Climbs and descents alternate with views of the Pohorje landscape, while stops provide opportunities to rest and experience local cuisine.
The operator describes two options starting at the upper station of the Pohorska vzpenjača gondola:
• Bolfenk–Ruška koča: past St Bolfenk’s Church and the Stolp, Videc and Partizanka ski slopes to Areh and Ruška koča mountain hut, followed by the return towards the starting point.
• Bolfenk–Skalca waterfall: to the Skalca waterfall, past Mariborska koča mountain hut and Reški vrh, then along Rozka’s Forest Nature Trail towards St Bolfenk’s Church.
Groups and package options
The price list distinguishes groups of 2–3, 4–6 and more than 6 people. Both routes are also presented as suitable for less experienced cyclists and families with older children. The exact route and meeting point are confirmed when booking.
Depending on the option selected, the package includes bicycle rental and transport on the Pohorska vzpenjača gondola. Alternatively, participants use their own bicycles or choose a tour without gondola transport. Food and drinks are not listed as included.
Participation requirements
• Helmets are compulsory.
• Children under 16 must be accompanied by a legal representative or adult guardian who signs the participation declaration.
• Participants follow staff instructions and adjust their speed to their abilities and the uneven terrain.
• Participation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.
• Participation is at the participant’s own risk and subject to the operator’s safety instructions and terms of use.
