The hlodovec raft experience on the Drava combines a journey from Koblarjev zaliv to Lent with hands-on rafting heritage. Accompanied by two raftsmen, participants handle a traditional oar, prepare a meal and make coffee over an open hearth. Stories of Drava rafting and a traditional initiation complete the programme.

The journey and participation
The trip starts at Koblarjev zaliv, Koroška cesta 175 in Kamnica, and follows the Drava’s natural current towards Lent, once a harbour for timber rafts and šajka boats and a centre of the timber trade.
Two experienced raftsmen introduce rafting history, traditional equipment and timber trading. Participants try different rafting tasks: rowing with a traditional steering oar, helping prepare a meal and making raftsmen’s coffee over an open hearth. The programme includes a rafting initiation, raftsmen’s anecdotes and stories about the water spirit Gestrin.
Food and drinks
The operator lists an aperitif of blueberry liqueur or plum brandy, plus white wine, mineral water and apple juice without quantity limits. The meal is described as a sausage cooked on the raft with vegetables and homemade bread, a cold snack or a piece of cottage cheese gibanica. The meal option is agreed when booking.
The earlier programme specifically lists grilled sausages, fresh and pickled vegetables, Flosar white wine, apple juice and raftsmen’s coffee.
