St Urban Hill rises above Kamnica, where the Kozjak and Slovenske gorice hills meet, at approximately 595 metres above sea level. Vineyards, meadows and woodland surround the summit, with views towards Maribor, Pohorje and the Drava Valley. The hill is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists exploring the countryside north of the city.
At the summit stands the Church of St Urban, first mentioned in 1352. The present building was constructed between 1855 and 1860 on the remains of an earlier church and consecrated by Bishop Anton Martin Slomšek. Dedicated to Pope Urban I, the patron saint of winegrowers and wine, it reflects the area's long winegrowing tradition.
Several hiking routes lead to the summit. A popular trail from Kamnica passes over Lucijin breg, by St Lucy's Chapel, and through forests and meadows. St Urban is also part of the Kozjak Trail, which continues towards Tojzlov vrh and Gaj nad Mariborom. Tourist farms near the church connect hiking and cycling with local food and rural traditions.
